Records Administrator

ExperienceHigh School diploma required; college degree preferred. At least two years of applicable job experience, or recent college graduate possessing requisite experience. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with professionals in other administrative departments, as well as attorneys and legal staff; ability to multi-task; strong attention to detail. Files management software, specifically MDY Filesurf.

 The Records Administrator supervises daily operations and handling of files and/or file room(s) and is responsible for timely delivery of active files, new files and/or files from storage.  Has responsibility for promoting and implementing records management program.  Supervises records staff, including training, quality control and maintaining client service.  The Records Administrator is also responsible for quality checking and re-filing of returned files.
Essential duties and primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1)      Performs routine data entry required to update the records management system.

2)      Maintains files in records services, including new file creation and document interfiling.

3)      Retrieves, charges out and delivers active and inactive files to authorized users.

4)      Periodically reviews files for relocation to offsite storage and processes files to the offsite vendor.

5)      Other duties as specified.
