- What is the firm’s policy regarding “splitting” the summer with another firm?
Our split policy is determined on an office by office basis. The Los Angeles and Denver offices do not allow splits. The Atlanta and Washington, DC offices are open to second year students splitting their summer; however, they require that you spend the first half (i.e. a minimum of six weeks) with MLA, unless you previously spent your first year summer with us.
- What is MLA’s policy regarding “splitting” the summer with another MLA office?
This is determined on a case by case basis. Interested students must individually interview with each MLA office.
Summer Associate Spotlight
"I chose McKenna Long & Aldridge because of its collegial environment and commitment to mentoring young attorneys. As a summer associate, I had the opportunity to work on several substantive assignments and was impressed by the willingness of the firm’s attorneys to reach out and provide assistance. My experience gave me a great sense of what it is like to be a part of the MLA team, and I look forward to joining the firm in the fall."
