2008 marks the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the New York Convention on the recognition of enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and agreements. Considered by many as the foundation for international arbitration, the New York Convention has been widely adopted around the world and applied to the cross-border enforcement of arbitral awards and agreements.
This half-day seminar will focus on the history of the New York Convention, current critical enforcement issues, and what the future holds for the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and agreements.
