McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP Advises Capital City Technologies in its Sale to Ernst & Young, LLP
ATLANTA (November 5, 2009) - McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) announced this week that it advised client Capital City Technologies, in its sale to Ernst & Young, LLP. The transaction closed on October 30, 2009. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Capital City Technologies, which provides high-end strategic program management, financial compliance, ERP integration, and financial management services to various agencies and divisions of the United States Department of Defense, will join Ernst & Young’s government and public sector advisory group. Capital City Technologies was named to Inc. Magazine’s list of the country’s 500 fastest growing companies in both 2008 and 2009.
The legal advisory team was led by MLA partner Jeremy Silverman, and included partners Jessica Abrahams and Ann Murray, as well as associates Kristen Beystehner, Matt Crosby, Marques Peterson, Jeff Phillips, and Leah Singleton. The MLA team worked closely with Aronson Capital Partners, a leading M&A advisor to middle-market government IT and professional services companies.
“This transaction exemplified MLA’s ability to work across practices in an integrated and interdisciplinary manner, and particularly our special qualifications when it comes to representing government contractors,” said Jeremy Silverman, the lead partner on the deal. “Our firm’s combination of the first and largest government contracts practice among U.S. law firms, along with our tier one M&A practice, uniquely positions us to advise government contractors in complex corporate transactions.”
