McKenna Long & Aldridge Hosting Family-Owned Business Event

ATLANTA (November 19, 2012) — McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, an international law firm, is hosting, “Strategies for Expansion: Taking Your Family-Owned and Closely-Held Business to the Next Level.” The program will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, at The Buckhead Club, 3344 Peachtree Road NE in Atlanta, with a cocktail reception to follow.

The event will feature Joel Manby, CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment Group, the largest family-owned theme park corporation with properties that currently span 26 locations in ten states, including Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. MLA Corporate Partner, Lou Mezzullo, who is a nationally renowned and sought after speaker on succession planning, will also be a featured speaker.  Following the speakers, two panels of family business owners, investment bankers, and legal and accounting advisors will examine issues affecting family businesses and explore growth strategies in depth. Joe Astrachan, Executive Director of Cox Family Enterprise Center and Jonathan Goldman, CEO and Managing Partner of Genesis Capital will serve as panel moderators.
