Corporate Board Member formed the Academic Council, a group of leading academic authorities on board governance, to identify emerging trends in America ’s boardrooms. Tom Wardell, chair of McKenna Long & Aldridge’s corporate department, participated as a panelist in a roundtable discussion focused on the board’s involvement in the risk management process. Additional panels on strategic planning and board structure were lead by PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Spencer Stuart.
