MLA Attorneys Author ACC InfoPAK on Government Schedule Contracting

September 2006

Recently, members of the Government Contracts practice of McKenna Long & Aldridge joined together with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) to produce an InfoPAK on Government Schedule Contracting. ACC’s goal is to serve the professional needs of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations and other private sector organizations worldwide. One of the resources that ACC provides to its members is InfoPAKs – publications created by legal professionals that contain helpful articles and other substantive materials.

The Government Schedule Contracting InfoPAK explores the entire gamut of the most significant procurement program under which federal agencies obtain commonly used "off-the-shelf" products and services: General Services Administration ("GSA") and Department of Veterans Affairs ("DVA") "schedule" contracting. Focusing on multiple-award schedule ("MAS") contracting, the InfoPAK emphasizes key cutting-edge legal, regulatory, and policy developments that are currently making this area one of the most dynamic in the government's efforts to purchase supplies and services. The InfoPAK also provides insights for companies which do not typically do business with the Federal Government into critical liability-related topics such as the Price Reductions clause, defective pricing data, and audits and investigations.

The Government Schedule Contracting InfoPAK was authored by John Burkholder, Jason Carey, Alison Doyle, John Horan, and John Howell.
