More Attorneys Are Jockeying for Public Projects

Tony Canzoneri, a partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge who has worked on public-private partnerships for more than three decades, said he has seen an increased interest in the last year or two in these deals, a trend he has observed in the past.

"As the economy worsened, as has been true of prior recessions, public-private partnerships have become one of the only games in town," Canzoneri said. "As private capital dries up, innovative public-private partnerships and public financing become important parts of creating economic vitality."
