Georgia Chamber Names 2010 Legislators of the Year

Awards have been given out to individuals who have helped Georgia’s business community.

The Georgia Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipients of the organization's 2010 Legislator of the Year Awards today. The awards are given to those who went above and beyond on behalf of the state's business community during the previous legislative session.

The Georgia Chamber also recognized retiring legislators Mark Burkhalter of Alpharetta and Jerry Keen of St. Simons with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their efforts on behalf of the business community during their time in public office. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s primary mission since its founding in 1915 has been advocacy on behalf of business at the state and federal level.
