May 5, 2008 - (Washington, DC) - McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) announced today that the firm has launched Climate Change Insights (www.climatechangeinsights.com), a blog dedicated to providing readers intuitive and thought-provoking views on current climate change issues. Led by partners Peter L. Gray and Frederick R. Anderson, the blog is set to become a leading online community for analyses on the impacts of climate change and related policy on business operations and industry. Blog contributors will provide analyses on timely subject matters related to U.S. and international policy, cap and trade, energy efficiency and green building, alternative and renewable Energy, corporate strategy and greening, public private partnerships, and clean air and water.
The blog's mission is to draw from the firm's considerable experience and resources to provide insights on climate change issues as they will affect commerce and industry. "We hope to provide clients and site visitors with a forum and discussions that will help lead to innovative business strategies addressing energy needs and efficiencies, reducing carbon footprints, and ensuring compliance for state, regional and federal mandates—maximizing opportunities in a carbon-constrained economy," said partner Fred Anderson.
"Companies can no longer postpone consideration on the impact of climate change regulation and the resulting carbon-constrained economy on their business until the day after climate change legislation is enacted," said Peter Gray, Chair of the environmental practice at MLA. "Every business should consider starting the evaluation process of where they are today and how they may be able to grow in the new climate-change world."
