McKenna Long & Aldridge Adds Two New Associates In The Tax Practice

Two New Tax Associates Join the Atlanta Office

May 28, 2008 - (Atlanta, GA) - McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (MLA) is pleased to announce that Leah M. Singleton and P. Scott Manning have joined the Firm’s Atlanta office as associates in the Corporate practice group. 

“We are pleased to have Leah and Scott join our Corporate practice group,”  said Wayne Bradley, Co-Chair of the Corporate practice.  “Both bring fresh perspectives, talent, and great knowledge to our growing tax practice.  Leah and Scott are highly valuable additions to the team.”

Singleton’s practice focuses on employee benefits and executive compensation.  She counsels clients on ERISA, tax, labor, and fiduciary law as it relates to defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, executive compensation, health & welfare plans, stock option plans and other types of employment compensation.  Manning focuses his practice on tax planning and the representation of clients in tax controversies. He frequently advises clients with respect to business formations, mergers and acquisitions, and liquidations. He also advises clients on the tax implications of cross-border transactions and international corporate restructurings.

Singleton received her J.D., Cum Laude, from Mercer University, her B.S. from State University of West Georgia in Mathematics and her A.A., Summa Cum Laude, from Gordon College. 

Manning received his J.D. from Emory University, his B.A. from Davidson College and his L.L.M in Taxation from New York University.
