David L. Balser Inducted as Fellow in American College of Trial Lawyers

September 29, 2008 - (Atlanta, GA) - McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, a leading international law firm, today announced that David L. Balser, a litigation partner in firm's Atlanta office, has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America.

The American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the organization is by invitation, extended only after careful investigation, to those lawyers with at least fifteen years’ trial experience who have demonstrated exceptional skill as advocates and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism and civility. Membership in the college cannot exceed 1% of the total lawyer population of any state. Founded in 1950, the College is dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the profession.

Balser represents Fortune 500 corporations, closely held businesses and corporate executives in complex commercial litigation and arbitrations throughout the country. He has twenty years of experience litigating and trying cases involving commercial disputes of all kinds, including breach of contract, business torts, corporate governance, shareholder and partnership disputes, and consumer class actions.  Many of the matters for which Balser is retained are of significant strategic importance to his clients.

Balser received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania (B.A., magna cum laude) and his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., cum laude).
