PROFILE

 John Shimada is Of Counsel in the Los Angeles office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP.  He is a member of the Litigation Team, where his focus is environmental litigation and toxic torts.

John has over 20 years of experience in both environmental and toxic tort litigation. His experience includes environmental cost recovery litigation in both state and federal courts under the Federal and California Superfund laws, as well as under the Clean Water Act.

The toxic tort matters he has handled have involved claimed injuries arising from a wide variety of substances including asbestos, mold, pesticides, metals and hydrocarbons. As such, he is very experienced not only with the complex legal issues involved, but also in the medical and technical issues which are critical to the successful defense of such matters.
