PROFILE

Lisa Oberg is a partner in the San Francisco office, where she handles toxic tort, products liability, contract and general liability litigation.

Lisa has developed substantial expertise in the management of mass torts. She has represented a wide variety of companies brought into asbestos personal injury and property damage cases in California, ranging from manufacturers and distributors of products to premises owners and contractors. Lisa coordinates the defense of thousands of cases on behalf of her clients in the Bay Area, and has tried and supervised trials in dozens of asbestos cases. Lisa has served on joint and defense committees addressing and suggesting revisions to the asbestos general orders in the local jurisdictions, and is closely involved in litigation management issues with the courts.

Lisa has also handled environmental remediation and property damage claims, including CERCLA, RCRA and regulatory enforcement proceedings. She has litigated claims alleging pesticide and chemical exposures resulting in personal injuries and property damage, and involving FIFRA and other pre-emption issues. Her early legal career involved representing companies litigating against major airlines in cases ranging from aircraft disasters to contract and other commercial claims.  In 2005, Lisa was honored as a Northern California Super Lawyer.

Lisa was law clerk to the Honorable Albert Lee Stephens, Jr., U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California.
