Lora Brzezynski has extensive trial experience in both federal and state courts representing clients in a wide range of cases involving commercial and business disputes and intellectual property litigation. In particular, she has worked extensively on behalf of clients in the area of business torts, including civil conspiracy, civil RICO, trademark infringement, defamation, and misappropriation of trade secrets. Further, Lora has been handling complex patent infringement litigation matters for several international clients.
Lora also routinely defends pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturers in product liability cases and has handled FIFRA related litigation and insurance recovery litigation for these and other companies. She has represented a pharmaceutical manufacturer in the multi-forum "fen-phen" diet drug litigation, where she coordinated and managed local counsel in more than thirty states litigating hundreds of state court actions. Lora has been lead counsel in numerous trials and hearings before state and federal courts, the American Arbitration Association and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Lora received her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated cum laude and was a member of the Georgetown National Trial Team. She was also Associate Editor of the Law and Policy in International Business Law Journal. Lora also is involved in pro bono matters and has represented indigent clients in landlord/tenant disputes and consumer protection cases. As the hiring partner for the DC office for the past year, Lora also has been very active in the recruitment of summer and lateral associates to the firm.
