PROFILE

Ted Maloof was one of the first lawyers to specialize in computer law matters and representation of high-tech companies in the Atlanta area. In 1979, he became Management Science America's lead attorney and was later outside general counsel for Peachtree Software, KnowledgeWare and others. His 40 years of experience includes handling several of the larger mergers and acquisitions in the Atlanta software industry, involvement in several technology company IPOs, establishing international distribution networks for software companies and negotiating numerous software license, distribution, development and purchase agreements, both domestic and foreign.

Ted also has substantial experience in large real estate transactions, commercial litigation, Constitutional law, First Amendment litigation, securities and financing transactions, bankruptcy transactions and corporate and commercial matters as well as wills, estates, trusts, family partnerships and private foundations.

He has been a frequent lecturer and author in the computer field and he has been a member of the board of editors of The Computer Lawyer since its inception.

Ted was a founding member of Hicks, Maloof and Campbell, which merged with Long Aldridge & Norman, a predecessor firm to McKenna Long & Aldridge, in 1998.
