PROFILE

Thuy Vu Taitt represents publicly traded and privately held companies in a wide array of commercial disputes, including class actions, throughout the United States.  Thuy has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in trials, arbitrations, and appeals involving contract disputes and business torts, securities claims, shareholder and partnership disputes, consumer class actions, bid protests, and intellectual property and trade secrets.

Related Experience

During law school, Thuy participated in the William Minor Lile Moot Court and various intramural moot court competitions.  Prior to attending law school, Thuy was an analyst in Lehman Brothers, Inc.’s investment banking division, where she focused on private debt and equity transactions.

Community/Civic Involvement

  • Thuy is active in the firm’s pro bono practice and has represented minors as guardian ad litem in several cases in the One Child One Lawyer program of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.
  • Thuy was a member of a team of MLA litigators who appealed Marcus Dixon’s ten-year prison sentence for having consensual sexual relations with a high school classmate.  In a case that received national media attention, the Georgia Supreme Court reversed Mr. Dixon’s conviction by a 4-3 decision.  Dixon v. State, 278 Ga. 4 (2004).
