Nina MacLeay is an environmental specialist with extensive experience performing factual analysis and legal research, in both administrative and litigation matters, emphasizing environmental compliance involving chemical and pesticide regulation by federal and state agencies. Her areas of expertise include the federal Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act (Proposition 65).

Nina maintains contact with various environmental regulatory agencies at the federal, state, and local levels to identify, obtain and analyze evidentiary data and resource materials. In TSCA, FIFRA and Proposition 65 matters, she assists in discovery, coordinates the exchange of information with numerous clients, prepares client advisories, and develops and maintains presentation materials. She has performed environmental audits and prepared standard operating procedures and compliance and training manuals for many clients. She also is a contributing editor of the firm's TSCA Handbook and FIFRA and Proposition 65 Desk Reference.

Prior to joining MLA in 1996, she assisted attorneys in a wide variety of other practice areas for over ten years. She teamed with trial counsel during bench and jury trials in state and federal jurisdictions. She also worked closely with state legislators and staff to further client interests regarding amendments to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
