Ann obtained an important ruling in favor of defendants on the application of Section 12901 of the Proposition 65 regulations for alleged discharges of lead from plumbing products. She also obtained a favorable summary judgment ruling on the issue of a dental amalgam manufacturer's duty to provide warnings to dental patients and the application of the informed consent doctrine in such circumstances.

Ann was a member of the defense team in Environmental Defense Fund v. Mercy Healthcare Sacramento, et al., in Communities for a Better Environment v. Aerojet-General Corporation, et al., and in numerous lawsuits brought by As You Sow, Mateel Environmental Justice Foundation and Michael DiPirro. She also has substantial experience counseling clients on Proposition 65 compliance. Both in her defense of lawsuits and in her compliance counseling, Ann works closely with experts as necessary to advise her clients fully.

Ann also has extensive experience in both prosecuting and defending environmental cost recovery suits under federal and California law. She has substantial experience in advising clients in environmental compliance matters, including the Federal Toxic Substances Control Act, among others. Prior to studying law, Ann worked for several years as a research associate in the fields of molecular biology and cell biology, primarily at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
