PROFILE

Corey Sanchez is an associate in McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP's Denver office. Corey counsels government contractors with respect to contract awards, administration, intellectual property, conflicts of interest, terminations, internal investigations, disputes and litigation. He devotes much of his current practice to drafting and negotiating procurement transactions.  Corey has experience representing clients with government cost accounting issues, the Procurement Integrity Act (PIA), the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Before joining the firm, Corey was a Contracting Officer with the Department of Defense in San Francisco, where he directed contract administration on a multi-functional team managing high-tech contracts valued at approximately $500 million and was responsible for the settlement of final overhead costs.  While working for the Department of Defense, Corey also prepared solicitations and awarded and administered various service, supplies and construction contracts.

Corey formerly practiced general corporate law with a large firm in Denver where he provided legal counsel relating to debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, trade secrets and the licensing of intellectual property.
