PROFILE

Rupa G. Singh is a partner in the San Diego office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, where she is a member of the Litigation Department.  Her practice focuses on the representation of technology, energy, biomedical, and manufacturing companies in complex civil and commercial litigation matters involving contractual, licensing, theft of trade secret, unfair competition, legal malpractice, and intellectual property disputes.

Before joining McKenna Long & Aldridge, Rupa was a litigation associate at the San Diego office of Morrison & Forester LLP, where her pro bono advocacy won her many annual awards from the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program.  Rupa's active involvement in the bar has since been recognized by the San Diego County Bar Association's 2007 "Service to Diversity" Award. From 1999-2000 she also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Irma E. Gonzalez, U.S. District Court, S.D.  Cal.

Rupa received her J.D. (cum laude) in 1999 from the New York University School of Law, where she was an associate editor of the NYU Law Review and published a Note on the role of international regimes in enforcing marine environmental laws. She received her B.A. in English and International Relations (magna cum laude) in 1996 from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and completed a thesis in international relations.
