PROFILE

J. David Larsen is a partner in the Real Estate and Finance Department of McKenna, Long & Aldridge LLP, resident in the Los Angeles office.  David’s practice focuses on commercial lending, real estate finance, real property acquisition and disposition, commercial leasing, workouts, debtor-in-possession finance, enterprise acquisition and disposition, corporate entity formation and governance, and other transactional matters. 

David received his J.D. in 1997 from the University of California, Hastings  College of the Law, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Debtors’ Rights and Creditors’ Remedies and served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review.  While at Hastings, David completed an externship with Justice Joyce L. Kennard of the California Supreme Court, and an internship with the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee.  He received his B.A. from Northwestern  University with distinction and honors, majoring in English and with a significant concentration in Asian Studies and the Japanese language.  He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma national honor societies.
