PROFILE

Mindy Caplan is a commercial litigation associate in the Washington, DC office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP.

Before joining the firm, Mindy practiced law in Baltimore, Maryland. Her experience includes work in commercial litigation and professional malpractice in both federal and state courts. She has participated in all aspects of discovery and motions practice. Mindy also has experience with mediation. In addition, she has handled commercial real estate transactions and zoning matters.

After graduating from law school, Mindy clerked for the Honorable Albert J. Matricciani, Jr., in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.

Mindy graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law where she completed a concentration in health law. Mindy served as an associate articles editor of the Maryland Law Review and is the author of Spriggs v. Diamond Auto Glass: Concluding That At-Will Employment Suffices as a Contractual Relationship, 59 Md. L. Rev. 1330 (2000). Mindy received her B.A. from Duke University.
