PROFILE

Dan Johnson is a partner in McKenna Long & Aldridge's Washington, DC office and a member of the firm's Employment and Litigation groups.

Mr. Johnson represents companies and associations in employment and litigation matters. His experience in employment matters includes employment agreements, covenants not to compete, confidentiality agreements, personnel policies and practices, wage, leave and disability issues, discrimination claims (including race, gender, age disability and pregnancy discrimination claims), fiduciary duty claims, wrongful discharge claims, defamation claims and "whistle blower" claims. He also has extensive experience in internal investigations of employee misconduct, as well as EEOC investigations.

He has 20 years of litigation experience and has successfully litigated multi-million dollar employment disputes, contract claims, software development disputes, product liability claims, and various business disputes arising from corporate asset acquisitions, stock purchases, joint venture arrangements, sales of commercials goods, construction projects, and government procurements.

Mr. Johnson represents plaintiffs and defendants at trial, including bench and jury trials, and before appellate courts. He also has considerable experience with arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and several federal trial and appellate courts nationwide, and has litigated in numerous state trial courts across the country.

In 2007, The Washington Business Journal selected Mr. Johnson as a "Top Washington Lawyer."
