FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS: DESCRIPTION

While all politics may be local, issues facing businesses and other organizations frequently need close attention at the federal level. McKenna Long & Aldridge has a long-standing government affairs practice in Washington, DC, backed up by a seasoned legal team, including federal regulatory, appellate, government contracts, trade and administrative law practices.

Our Washington government affairs practice provides solutions in a variety of areas, including representing client interests before the legislative and executive branches; assisting with appropriations matters; building relationships with federal officials; handling crisis communications; advising on political law and media relations; and counseling regarding international trade issues.

A key element to successfully representing client interests in the Nation’s Capital is the variety of experience our team has had within the federal government. Our team members have held senior elected and appointed positions, as U.S. Senators and Congressmen, diplomats, advisors to presidents and senior officials in executive branch agencies and Congress.
