Experience
Christian (Chris) Volz has had more than thirty years of experience as an environmental litigator and counselor. His roster of clients includes domestic and international aerospace and defense, high-technology, natural resource and chemical companies. They face the full array of environmental law issues, including Superfund proceedings, private party cost recovery and contribution litigation, alleged diminution in asset value, alleged personal injury, defense of enforcement proceedings and environmental auditing in the course of corporate acquisitions and transfers. Mr. Volz's clients also rely on his expertise in the proper classification of manufacturing, recycling and treatment activities and the materials used in them, import and export regulations and NRC regulations regarding disposal of radioactive wastes and materials.
From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Volz was the co-editor of and a contributing author to the annual Wiley Environmental Law Update.
Mr. Volz serves as the Managing Partner of McKenna Long & Aldridge's San Francisco office.
