Experience
John Aldridge is one of the co-founders of Long Aldridge & Norman, a predecessor firm of McKenna Long & Aldridge.
Acting as a restructuring advisor and legal counsel for U.S. investment banks, financial institutions and investors, Mr. Aldridge has assisted in the purchase, restructure and liquidation of more than $25 billion in performing and non-performing commercial loans and assets.
Mr. Aldridge develops strategic planning programs for senior management and special loan divisions of U.S. financial institutions to address distressed debt portfolios and high-risk, high-yield lending. He also trains loan officers and asset managers in the techniques of analyzing, managing and resolving under- and non-performing loans.
In 1987, The American Lawyer cited Mr. Aldridge as one of the top lawyers in America under the age of 45. He is also listed in Twenty-five Best Lawyers in America.
In the late 1980s, Mr. Aldridge advised the Bush Administration on the development of an asset resolution and liquidation program to be used nationally to dispose of the assets of failed savings and loans institutions.
Mr. Aldridge frequently speaks on negotiating techniques; high risk, high yield lending; workouts; bankruptcy; creditors' rights; lender liability and problem portfolio management.
