Matthew Ashby is a Partner in McKenna Long & Aldridge's Los Angeles office where he concentrates his practice in civil litigation specializing in product liability and toxic torts.
He has actively participated in all stages of trial in various product liability and toxic tort litigation. He has extensive experience taking and defending experts and corporate witnesses. Matt has expertise in the scientific and medical aspects of toxic tort matters.
He manages dozens of product liability and toxic tort matters and is responsible for several pretrial victories through dispositive motion practice. For instance, Matthew had led defense efforts in successfully challenging improper forums chosen by out-of-state plaintiffs.
Matthew is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. Before entering the UCLA School of Law, he worked as a Senior Internal Auditor for Allegheny Teledyne, Inc., where he supervised financial and compliance audits.
