Experience

Chuck Reed handles the defense of product liability cases for manufacturers and distributors, intellectual property litigation and commercial litigation. He has defended automotive, medical device, industrial equipment, recreational product, watercraft and tool and other manufacturers and distributors in product liability lawsuits. Additionally, he is actively involved in patent litigation, class actions and commercial litigation.

Mr. Reed heads the firm's automotive product liability practice. He personally has defended over one dozen different automotive companies and has participated in nearly 100 trials. Mr. Reed handles product liability matters in many states across the country and serves as national coordinator in connection with particular automobile defect allegations. Mr. Reed's patent litigation and commercial litigation practices are likewise nationwide and international in scope.

In addition to serving as trial counsel for his domestic and international clients, Mr. Reed and his team have guided various document and data collection projects to assist clients in coordinating discovery efforts. Additionally, Mr. Reed has assisted automotive industry clients in their dealings with various government agencies such as NHTSA. Mr. Reed has been named a “Georgia Super Lawyer” by Atlanta Magazine.

Civic Activities:

  • Mr. Reed has served as a member of various Atlanta Legal Aid Society fund raising campaigns and worked for ten years on behalf of the Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition in various capacities, including several years as the coordinator of the Metro Atlanta Region Competition. He continues to actively participate in pro bono activities including representing various Humane Society chapters in the Metropolitan Atlanta Area.
