Experience

Jae Park has represented telecommunications companies, financial institutions, defense contractors, and builders, as well as individuals, in a wide range of complex commercial and business disputes, including breach of contract, fraud, negligence, unfair competition, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, securities and white-collar criminal matters. Representative cases include:

• Dismissal of an action filed by a municipality against a global chemicals producer for alleged failure to pay utility charges.

• Representation of a corporation in a public corruption investigation.

• Summary judgment in favor of a wireless telecommunications provider against a breach of contract claim by its vendor.

• Representation of a principal against an agent in a breach of fiduciary duty action.

• Settlement of a breach of contract claim by a Chinese battery manufacturer against an international technology and medical device company.

• Settlement of an unfair competition claim filed by a former employee of a national mortgage lender against his former colleague and employer.

• Settlement of a disability discrimination claim filed by a former employee of an aerospace and defense contractor.

In addition, Park is committed to pro bono and community service activities, and has been the recipient of McKenna Long & Aldridge’s Associate Pro Bono and Community Services Award for his successful representation of a political refugee seeking asylum in the United States.

During law school, Park was a comments editor for the San Diego Law Review and secretary and president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. He was also a Research Specialist for the Lawyering Skills program
